Our Team

  • Charles Daniel Murin, Ph.D.

    Assistant Professor

Daniel is an Assistant Professor at the San Diego Biomedical Research Institute and holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor position at Scripps Research in the Department of Integrative Structural and Computational Biology. Daniel’s background is in the use of single particle cryo-EM to study the antibody-based immune response to HIV and filoviral infection. He now leads efforts to study the molecular basis of antibody and cellular effector functions.

  • Tania Cid

    Research Technician I

Tania is a laboratory technician in Dr. Murin's lab. Tania graduated from the University of California, San Diego in June of 2024 with a B.S. in Neurobiology. While at UCSD, Tania worked in the lab of Dr. Dore and obtained skills in FLIM, brain slice preparation, and cell culture. Tania will be driving progress in several projects in the Murin Lab related to molecular mechanisms driving NK cell ADCC activity.

  • Braden Christenson

    Summer Intern

Braden returns to the Murin Lab for a second summer as an intern. Braden will be entering his senior year at Santa Clara University in the fall of 2025, working toward a B.S. in ACS Certified Biochemistry. Braden’s focus in the Murin Lab this summer is to improve and interrogate NK cell ADCC activity and function using a custom small molecule screen in collaboration with Calibr at Scripps Research. Braden will also be assisting with protein biochemistry projects to better understand the molecular basis of NK cell ADCC.
